Agape Love is a 1 Corinthians 13:4-7, 13 love:
Love is patient. Love is kind and is not jealous. Love does not brag and is not arrogant. Does not act unbecomingly. It does not seek its own. Is not provoked. Does not take into account a wrong suffered. Does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth. Bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, and endures all things.
But now faith, hope, love, abide these three; but the greatest of these is love.
Agape love is an obedient love.
2 John 1:6
And this is love, that we walk according to His commandments. This is the commandment, just as you have heard from the beginning, that you should walk in it.
If we are going to say we love God we obey Him. If we say we love somebody we are going to in obedience walk in agape love. Are you patient? Are you kind? Are you jealous? Are you arrogant? Are you acting unbecomingly? Are you easily provoked? Do you forgive? Do you stand with truth? Do you bear all things, believe all things, hope all things, endure all things?
Are you walking in a self-sacrificing love? Do you have a love for the lost? Do you have a love for the unlovely? Do you have a love based upon commitment, not feelings?
What would happen in our homes, in our communities like Fairfield Bay, AR, in our nation if Christians walked in a 1 Cor 13 agape love? In regard to Fairfield Bay how many who call themselves Christians are manifesting something very different than agape love? How about you? What type of love are you walking in? Let's pray that ALL OF US would be more loving.
