Prayer and Repentance-Oct 12, 2024

Standing in the Gap is sponsoring a day of Fasting, Prayer, Repentance, Worship on Saturday, Oct 12, 2024, 10:30am-7:30pm. A time for personal reflection, a time of asking God to convict us of sin, a time of repentance, a time of corporate prayer and worship. Standing in the Gap for Fairfield Bay, individuals, the body of Christ, America, our world. (You choose the type of fast you want to follow.)

Yom Kippur, Day of Atonement, is considered the holiest day of the year in Judaism. It is marked by fasting, extended prayer services, and confessions of sin. Jewish people reflect on the year, goals, and past actions, how his or her behavior has possibly hurt others and seek forgiveness for wrongs done against God and against other human beings. Standing in the Gap believes it is important for all of us do this, especially with all that is going on in Fairfield Bay, America, the World.

As Christ Followers we should daily confess our sins before God and ask for His forgiveness. We should also ask forgiveness from others on a regular basis. We should do more than that. If we have wronged anyone we should make amends. Sadly this is not the behavior of many Christians, we all fall short at times. Oct 12, 2024 is a special time to HUMBLE OURSELVES BEFORE GOD, SEEK HIS FACE, PRAY, REPENT and INTERCEDE FOR OTHERS.

We will provide an opportunity for foot washing.
