Healthy Disagreement or HATE
Healthy Disagreement or HATE

Wherever you find people you will find varying opinions. Wherever you find people you will find disagreements. Wherever you find people you will find conflicts. The only way to get rid of varying opinions, disagreements, and conflicts is to remove people. But as soon as you remove people there will be people to replace them. So the ultimate solution is to remove ALL PEOPLE. That means ALL of us.

Two Options
Since removing All People is not an option, we need to look at another option. There are two main options:
A. Hate-Instead of finding some common ground, solutions/resolutions, many chose to be hateful and vindictive. They choose to insinuate, accuse, attack, mock, ridicule, refuse to listen, and have the mindset of "my way or the highway". They have no problem with 'The End Justifies the Means' mentality. You must do whatever it takes to get rid of the 'evil'. Many times these type of individuals live a life of hypocrisy.

B. Healthy Disagreement, Find Solutions-Those with this mindset understand that as people we do not always see eye to eye. They understand there will be times when there are unresolved issues but that does not need to lead to hate. Instead they will be willing to compromise when it is best for the good of all. They will look to solutions and do their best to find ways to get their 'enemies' to join with them for a greater cause. If resolution cannot be found they will still be respectful.

There are certainly those who operate out of a mixture of A and B.

Wrong, Bad, Evil, Cannot Compromise
What about when individuals, ideas, policies are wrong, bad, or evil, and there is no room for compromise? One must first understand that there is a difference between wrong, bad, and blatantly evil. Evil can be defined as deceptive, dishonest, manipulative, self-serving, ulterior motives, etc. One should never compromise on those things, must call them out, and take a stance. But that does not mean we need to be hateful, disrespectful, and vindictive.

Fairfield Bay-Watching from the Sidelines
There are those who are watching from the sidelines all the drama taking place in Fairfield Bay regarding the various business owners, government leaders, FFBCC and their supporters ot opponents. It is clear that there are those who choose Option A and others choose Option B, or a mixture of both. No matter who is operating from Option A it should be unacceptable, even if we agree with some or many of their positions/ideas/policies. To wink, ignore, excuse, justify, endorse such behavior only fuels more hate.

Pray
We can get angry with ungodly, immoral, unethical behavior. We can let our anger lead to hatred. From hatred to becoming just like the people we hate. Or, we can choose to Stand in the Gap. We can choose to pray. We can pray that God expose wolves in sheep clothing. We can choose to pray for God to expose those who are corrupt, unethical, immoral. We can pray that lies and deception can be exposed. We can pray that those in leadership positions are removed from a position of authority if they refuse to change. We can pray that the community will not support or endorse, and actually take a stand against hateful, mean-spirited, unrighteous behavior. We can pray that God will raise up godly leaders to replace ungodly leaders.
