One of the biggest issues in America and Fairfield Bay is those who manifest the Deeds of the Flesh and Deeds of Darkness while claiming to be standing for truth. They may desire to stand for truth (which may only be partial truth) but their words, actions, behavior reflects evil instead of good. Character and deeds matters, not just words.
The Bible specifically addresses Deeds of the Flesh and Deeds of Darkness and warns/commands for Christ Followers to not manifest character traits of Satan. In fact the Bible says do not participate in deeds of darkness but instead expose them. Christians are told to not walk in the flesh but to walk in the fruit of the Spirit. In fact Scripture states that those who have a lifestyle of doing Deeds of Darkness and Deeds of the Flesh will not inherit the kingdom of God.
Deeds of Darkness
Ephesians 5
3 But immorality or any impurity or greed must not even be named among you, as is proper among saints; 4 and there must be no filthiness and silly talk, or coarse jesting, which are not fitting, but rather giving of thanks. 5 For this you know with certainty, that no immoral or impure person or covetous man, who is an idolater, has an inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God. 6 Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience. 7 Therefore do not be partakers with them; 8 for you were formerly darkness, but now you are Light in the Lord; walk as children of Light 9 (for the fruit of the Light consists in all goodness and righteousness and truth), 10 trying to learn what is pleasing to the Lord. 11 Do not participate in the unfruitful deeds of darkness, but instead even expose them; 12 for it is disgraceful even to speak of the things which are done by them in secret. 13 But all things become visible when they are exposed by the light, for everything that becomes visible is light.
Deeds of the Flesh
19 Now the deeds of the flesh are evident, which are: immorality, impurity, sensuality, 20 idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, disputes, dissensions, factions, 21 envying, drunkenness, carousing, and things like these, of which I forewarn you, just as I have forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.
Standing in the Gap-Pray, Pray, Pray
Those who continuously practice the Deeds of Darkness and Deeds of the Flesh at the minimum have a very poor relationship with Christ and at the extreme are knowingly or unknowingly partnering with Satan. We need to pray for them. We need to pray that their eyes will be opened. The challenge is such individuals are usually very prideful and feel that what they are doing is a good thing. So before their eyes can be opened we need to also pray for them to come to a place of humbleness. Need to pray that they will come to their senses. Need to pray for them to repent.
We need to realize that some are so deceived that they have open themselves up to evil spirits, they may be demonized. We need to pray they will become delivered. We should weep for their souls.
In regards to Fairfield Bay specifically, we need to pray against all principalities, powers, spiritual wickedness that is behind the behavior that is being manifested.
As we Stand in the Gap for Fairfield Bay we need to make sure we stay humble and walk in purity and holiness through the power of His Grace.
